Chain Reaction is a science magazine for students in grades 4-8, published by the Office of Research Communications at Arizona State University. The magazine explores scientific concepts using real research explained by working scientists. Its goal is to spark interest in science and higher education and to provide teachers with a high-quality resource.

Below are spreads for an article, "Picturing Heat," which details a research project involving Arizona children, disposable cameras, and their visual interpretations of heat during the summertime. I designed the entirety of these spreads—including the illustrations of the photographing children, and the iconography that accompanies the sidebar columns.
